"..I can't imagine life without music" Elton John
Hi, I'm Neil & music is my passion.
"If it has strings, it's my thing." For fifty years, I've enjoyed a love affair with string instruments. Guitars, bass, violas, violins, fiddles ...I cherish them all.
With a long portfolio spanning across choirs, orchestras, bands, duets & countless solo projects, I'm compelled to mentor anybody with an interest in music. I'm told my torch-passing is a sign that my timeline has neared the "mature era", but I liken it to violins crafted with fine materials instead.... over time the materials have matured & the tone became better.
My sense of responsibility to foster the musical interests in others was the genesis of Congo Strings. I've always maintained that lessons remain fun & approachable. And even though I teach music less frequently these days, the mantra remains true. At Congo Strings, I wholeheartedly believe that instruments & ownership should remain affordable & eliminate barriers to maximize joy.
Congo Strings exists so the next generation can find the same joy that was shared with me a lifetime ago. Music is easily one of the best gifts you'll ever receive.
Welcome to Congo Strings. Cheers!
